Talents

The first thing you should understand in order to take full advantage of Hu Tao’s power would be her playstyle. Unlike any other character, her full potential lies within a very specific objective and that is by keeping her health below 50% as long as possible which is heavily influenced by several different factors with the most important one being her passive talent that provides Hu Tao with sizeable pyro DMG bonus.

This is a very crucial thing you will need to manage because her elemental skill will infuse her attacks with Pyro and getting that bonus from the mentioned passive on top of every attack is something you should strive for all the time.

Secret Spear of Wangsheng | Attack
Normal Performs up to 6 consecutive spear strikes.
Charge Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to lunge forward, dealing damage to enemies along the way.
Plunge Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

Guide to Afterlife | Skill
Only an unwavering flame can cleanse the impurities of this world. Hu Tao consumes a set portion of her HP to knock the surrounding enemies back and enter the Paramita Papilio state.

Paramita Papilio State
– Increases Hu Tao’s ATK based on her Max HP at the time of entering this state. ATK Bonus gained this way cannot exceed 400% of Hu Tao’s Base ATK.
– Convertes attack DMG to Pyro DMG, which cannot be overridden by any other elemental infusion.
– Charged attacks applu the blood blossom effect to enemies hit.
– Increases Hu Tao’s resistance to interruption.

Blood Blossom Effect
– Enemies affected by Blood Blossom will take Pyro DMG every 4s. This DMG is considered Elemental Skill DMG.
– Each enemy can be affected by only one Blood Blossom effect at a time, and its duration may only be refreshed by Hu Tao herself.
– Paramita Papilio ends when its duration is over or Hu Tao has left the battlefield or fallen.

Hu Tao consumes part of her HP to cast her Elemental Skill knocking nearby enemies back and entering the Paramita Papilio state. This converts her attack DMG to Pyro DMG which cannot be overridden by another elemental infusion. Her resistance to the interruption is also increased and she receives an ATK increase based on her Max HP when entering this state.

After unlocking the Talent “Flutter By”, ending Paramita Papilio increases the CRIT Rate of all of Hu Tao’s party members other than herself for a set duration. Moreover, while Paramita Papilio is in effect, Hu Tao’s Charged Attacks apply the Blood Blossom effect to enemies it hits and enemies affected by Blood Blossom will take Pyro DMG at set intervals.

This effect automatically expires after a while and only one Blood Blossom can exist on any one target at a time and only Hu Tao can refresh its duration.

Spirit Soother | Burst
Commands a blazing spirit, dealing Pyro DMG in a large AoE. Upon striking the enemy, regenerates a percentage of Hu Tao’s Max HP. This effect can be triggered up to 5 times based on the number of enemies hit. If Hu Tao’s HP is below or equal to 50% when the enemy is hit, both the DMG and HP Regeneration are increased.
