Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern is an artifact domain that can be found in the north of Mt. Aozang of Liyue. Here is a brief guide on how to complete this artifact domain, possible rewards, enemy lists, and recommended characters.
Domain Overview
Geo DMG dealt by all party members increased by 75%. Your Adventurer Rank level must be 35+ to unlock Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern and requires 20 original resins to claim the rewards. Defeat all the Abyss Mages within 5 minutes to complete the challenge.
How To Complete Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern
Bring an Anemo, Pyro, Cryo, or Electro characters on this domain challenge. Anemo skills such as Anemo traveler’s elemental skill and burst are very effective for breaking The Abyss Mage’s shield. It is also a good idea for bringing Fischl if you have her as a support for inflicting Superconduct and Overloaded status between your attacks using her Elemental skill “Oz”.
Method #1
The fastest way of clearing this domain requires an Anemo character such as the Anemo traveler, Sucrose, or Venti. When you start the trial, walk straight forward and make a left turn and stop between the two blue markers on the ground. Wait for the three mages to teleport in front of you and catch them all with your Anemo character’s skill to inflict swirl damages on their shield. These swirls from an Anemo character will cause the abyss mage to break each other’s shield and once their shields are broken use your best AoE skills to take them down.
I would focus on the Pyro Abyss Mage first since it has an aura that summons an annoying fireball. If you don’t have the damage to take down the Abyss Mages in one go then use this second method.
Method #2
When you start the trial go to the bottom right corner to avoid engaging the Hydro Abyss Mage. You will only have to fight the Pyro and Cryo mage at the same time. Bring a Hydro character and Pyro character to break their shields respectively or use your Anemo characters. Once again I would focus on the Pyro mage first since he has an annoying aura but you should also destroy the Cryo Mage’s shield so it’s staggered and won’t attack you.
After defeating the Pyro and Cryo Abyss Mage, you can snipe the Hydro Abyss Mage from afar or just run up and kill it. The Hydro shield from Abyss Mage takes extra damage from Cryo attacks but Electro damage works well too.
