Chongyun Ascension Materials
Here is the list of Chongyun materials needed to reach his maximum ascension level: Shivada Jade, Masks from Hilichurls, and Hoarfrost Core. As for Cor Lapis, it can be collected in the Liyue region.
Chongyun Talent Materials
The materials to level up Chongyun’s talent are Masks from Hilichurls, Dvalin’s Sigh, and Diligence book series from Taishan Mansion Domain located near Jueyun Karst of Liyue.

Chongyun Talents
Chongyon’s abilities let him easily switch between focusing on physical or elemental damage. He can prime enemies for cryo-based elemental reactions and he can buff the attack speed of melee based characters.
He may not seem as strong as the other characters at first glance but he can be very powerful when he’s paired with the right elements.

His attack can perform up to 4 consecutive strikes of his Claymore to deal physical damage. Because of it weapon type, it’s easy for him to break ores with his attack. It’s also useful for destroying Geo elemental formations and enemy shields.
When you hold the attack button, Chongyun’s stamina will be drained over time to perform a continuous spinning attack against all nearby enemies and at the end of the sequence, he will finish with a powerful slashing attack. It’s also possible to do the final slash without performing the continuous spin or draining stamina if you hold and release the attack button just before Chonyun begins his charged attack.

His elemental skill strikes the ground with his Claymore causing a Cryo explosion in a circular area in front of him that deals Cryo damage. After a short delay, the cold air created by the cryo explosion will coalesce into a chunk of frost field within which all damage done through normal and charged attacks by Sword, Claymore, and Polearm wielding characters will be converted to Cryo damage.
This may seem like a simple skill at first but its strength lies in its ability to give any melee-based character a way to easily activate Cryo-based elemental reactions.

Chongyun summons three giant spirit blades in mid-air that fall to the ground one by one after a short delay exploding as they hit the ground. When the spirit blades explode, they will deal with Cryo damage and launch enemies within the area.
This elemental burst has a low energy cost and cooldown time. Depending on how you build Chongyun, it’s possible for his elemental bursts to completely recharge before the cooldown is over.
